Who are we?

The team managing Picture Hooks is made up of individuals who have strong track records in both illustration and book publishing.

Vivian French has published over 250 books and lectures at Edinburgh College of Art, Jonathan Gibbs is Head of Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art, and Lucy Juckes is co-founder of Barrington Stoke and a literary agent.

During their professional lives, they have all shown the ability to spot talent and nurture it.  They all believe passionately in the importance of illustration and the need to encourage its development, but are deeply aware of the gap in training and development for illustrators.
